Together they produced 500 pairs of sneakers that have year-long 2018 tickets sewn into them. The shoe bearing the design of seat covers on Berlin’s U-Bahn trains was priced at only €180 (an annual BVG ticket costs upwards of €761). Hundreds of people braved sub-zero temperatures to camp out overnight in Berlin, in hopes of buying a pair of the limited edition sneakers.
