This funny piece of clandestine advertising caused big commotion in Olympic London. Several remote-controlled miniatures of Mini cars were whizzing around the athletics stadium to shuttle javelins, discus and hammers back to the athletes. It has triggered branding questions at what are strictly ad-free Olympic venues at the London Games. For BMW – that produces the Mini – the buzz of course was great news: pictures of the mini Mini were a big social media hit.
