This is the basic idea behind the Internet Sun Generator, the newest campaign of Norwegian Airlines. During December and January the day and night is 75% dark in Norway. This has a negative effect on the mood of its residents. All conversations on this subject on Facebook, Twitter and blogs were tracked down and converted into a digital formula that controlled a big artificial sun placed at the most crowded spot in Oslo. The more negative the conversations get, the brighter the sun shines. The extra attention this campaign generated, resulted in a record in ticket sales for Norwegian Airlines.
