Unauthorized trespassing onto rail lines is one of the major causes of death throughout the railway network in France. In order to raise awareness among high schoolers and curb hazardous behaviour SNCF Réseau Railway released a terrifying virtual reality experience. The film shows how it feels running over someone, based on a real train driver’s recurring nightmare. High schoolers watch the footage using a VR headset in a truck that resembles the main character’s bedroom. This truck makes a national tour along French high schools with SNCF agents on board to deliver an additional educational prevention message.
