Since 2005 Shell helps the scientists of the Van Gogh Museum with technical knowledge and inventions. Their research provided a great insight into Van Gogh’s way of working, as can be seen in the current exhibition Van Gogh at Work. Shell wanted to share its enthusiasm about the research in a unique activation. BrandBase came up with a striking stunt: a giant replica of a self-portrait by Van Gogh was built completely out of sunflowers.
