Sol de Janeiro – Skin Cancer Campaign

In this amazing awareness campaign sunscreen brand Sol de Janeiro and Ogilvy Brazil use a key element of the Brazilian beach life – tattoos – to boost awareness of skin cancer under young beachgoers. More than 450 professional tattoo artists were trained by an oncologist to learn to recognize the first symptoms of the disease. The idea is that, having spotted skin irregularities, the tattooists will encourage their clients to visit dermatologists.
