Our cities are buzzing, and this means they are gradually becoming overcrowded. To solve this problem, we need creative ideas. Like the innovative Volksparking project in which Volkswagen Belgium teams up with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They created a mobile basketball hoop that searches for empty parking spaces allowing local residents to use a parking lot as a play area. The world’s first Volksparking is located in Ostend and Volkswagen invites policy makers and car park owners to join the project.
