This spring the Art Institute of Chicago organized a Van Gogh exhibition featuring three distinct paintings of his famous room in Arles. In an attempt to create a buzz the museum came up with a brilliant idea. They made a replica of Van Gogh’s bedroom and listed the place on Airbnb giving people the exclusive opportunity to stay a night in of the most iconic room in art. The campaign turned out to be a gigantic success with online ticket sales that went up with 250 percent. Be sure to check out the case video, it’s worth watching.
