Plastic waste is one of the biggest environmental issues facing our planet. And this time of year, it gets worse as broken toys get tossed in the trash. As many as 40 million toys are thrown away each year in France alone. That’s why 3D printing company Dagoma launched Operation Toy Rescue, a project that creates spare parts for the most popular toys in the world. Dagoma techs scanned hundreds of toys and modeled easily broken parts in 3D, creating digital files that users can download. For those without their own 3D printers, Dagoma has a limited supply of free pre-printed parts.
