Spotify – The RapCaviar Pantheon

12 December 2017 | Services

With over 8 million followers, Spotify’s RapCaviar probably is the most influential playlist in music. To celebrate RapCaviar’s top three hip hop artists of 2017, the streaming service came up with a buzzworthy marketing concept. They immortalized SZA, Metro Boomin and 21 Savage as life-sized sculptures in the same tradition as some of history’s most lionized heroes and leaders. ‘We’re treating our artists with the importance that Ancient Rome treated its gods’, said Spotify’s Global Head of Hip Hop. The sculptures were created using robotic arms and were unveiled at the Brooklyn Museum. Be sure to check out the short film about the project which is voiced by Pharrell Williams.
