The boats use cutting-edge technology, which allows them to collect up to 20kgs of plastic and rubbish at one time. IKEA fans will notice that the design is based on a much-loved product – the SMÅKRYP bath toy. The rubbish collected will be upcycled into a sculpture that will take pride of place at the IKEA Greenwich store.
